About Quala

Every Quala assessment runs in a controlled cloud sandbox with AI tools enabled. We capture the entire engagement — prompts, AI responses, code edits, test runs, terminal output, timing — and turn it into a structured candidate report.

Quala is built by a small team of engineers who have hired and been hired through every kind of process — from classic whiteboard interviews to live-coding pairs to take-homes — and have shipped real production software with AI agents long before it was on the resume.

We're based in San Francisco and operate remotely across the US and EU.

Quala is in a private pilot with engineering teams at companies backed by Y Combinator, Techstars, a16z, Antler, and Entrepreneur First. We're not currently raising — when we are, we'll announce it here.
